After working for over 20 years teaching design based subjects Stephen trained at Askham Bryan College, York; gaining a diploma in Garden Design (with Distinction). With continued professional development through the KLC College, Chelsea Harbour and numerous SGD seminars. This has turning a love of gardens into a lifestyle. He now works from his studio in Sherburn in Elmet, designing and managing the building of gardens in the Yorkshire area.
Stephen is currently a Corresponding member of the Society of Garden Designers and working towards full membership. Full details of the levels of membership can be found at
