Ordering Your Sundial

How to order

Please order your sundial by telephone, email, or post, or by using the contact form.

If you require a specific inscription let me know what you have in mind or if you wish I can make suggestions for you.

I need to know where the sundial will be positioned. If you have access to a gps you can take a longitude and latitude reading. Another method is to use “Google Earth” to find your location.

For a wall dial I will also need to know the “Declination” of the wall the dial is to be fixed to, please see the technical pages for how to do this.

Remember- the more accurate the readings the more accurate your dial.

An Equation of Time engraving can be included on some dials or provided as a separate plate , making it even more accurate and allowing you to read true clock time.

For most UK addresses the sundial price includes p&p. Highlands and Islands will carry a delivery surcharge.

Payment conditions.

As all the products I make are bespoke and made to special order I  have to ask payment in full for orders under £600.00 inc delivery costs. Where the cost is above £600.00 I will require a deposit payment which will be agreed with individual clients.

Full payment will be required prior to dispatch.

Work on your bespoke dial or sign will not start until written confirmation/approval of dial engraving or sign writing details has been received and payment cleared.

An estimated delivery time will  then be given on receipt  of confirmation.

If you require delivery by a specific date, anniversary etc, please do not leave things till the last minute!  I can work miracles but prefer to give your dial or sign an unrushed start to life!

Your statutory rights are not affected by any of the above.

If you have not seen my work in person at a show you are more than welcome to visit me at my workshop - please call for details before travelling.

Payment method

You may pay by cheque or BACS transfer,

If you wish to use the latter I will email or post my account details for you to make payment.This is the quickest method.

Delivery

Delivery will generally be by City Link, and I will advise you of dispatch by email or telephone (which ever you have requested).

 For Highlands and Islands DHL  will be  used.

Larger commissions may require delivery  on a pallet or I could quote for personal delivery subject to distance.
